Susan's Traditional Cornbread
Preheat oven to 350º F. Place greased cast iron skillet or Bundt
pan in oven to preheat as well. It gives the outer edges a nice slight crispy
edge.
Combine and mix well:
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup cream style corn
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup salad oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups grated/shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium onion, diced
4 to 8 oz can diced green chilies, depending on your preference (I use closer
to the full 8 oz.)
Bake in preheated greased pan for 1 hour.
