Jill's Traditional Cornbread

Ingredients:
1 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1 ¼ cup buttermilk

Steps:
Combine dry ingredients; mix well. Combine egg, oil and buttermilk; mix well and stir into dry ingredients until just blended. Pour into buttered 8" pan.

Bake at 400º F for 25 minutes.
